Ashton Park Sixth Form Marks Another Year of Student Success!
Ashton Park School is celebrating another year of strong outcomes for its sixth form students, with the vast majority securing their preferred next steps. Students at Ashton Sixth have achieved an impressive range of results this year, with destinations including university places and sought-after apprenticeships.The school, which welcomes students from a wide range of backgrounds and starting points, prides itself on providing an inclusive and supportive sixth-form experience. The latest results reflect the hard work, determination and ambition of students, alongside the tailored support provided by staff.
BTEC outcomes were particularly strong, with a 100% pass rate and a large proportion of students achieving Distinction or Distinction* grades. A Level students have also achieved results that have enabled them to progress confidently to their chosen destinations.
Richard Uffendell, Headteacher of Ashton Park School, said: “As Headteacher, I am immensely proud and delighted to celebrate the achievements of our sixth formers receiving their post-16 outcomes today. “At Ashton Sixth, we believe in educating the whole child, nurturing not only academic success but also personal growth, resilience and ambition. Every student, regardless of their starting point, is given the opportunity to thrive, and it is a joy to see them leave us equipped for their chosen next steps. “We are proud that every young person who studies here enjoys a rich and fulfilling experience both inside and outside the classroom, while also securing the qualifications they need for a bright and successful future.”
Mike Mantegna, Head of Sixth Form, added: “This year group has been remarkable in their ambition and perseverance. Our curriculum gives students the freedom to pursue a wide range of subjects and pathways, and it has been inspiring to see how they have embraced those opportunities.”
The school is proud to celebrate the achievements of every student and recognises the important role played by families and staff in supporting them throughout their sixth-form journey.
As students prepare to take their next steps into higher education, apprenticeships, employment and other pathways, Ashton Park School wishes them every success for the future.
Highlights from this year’s achievers include:
● Shahad– A, Double Distinction. Shahad is going to UWE to study Diagnostic Radiography.
● Shantay – A, Double Distinction. Shahad is taking a gap year.
● Amy – B, Double Merit. Amy is going to Bournemouth University to study Medical Science.
● Harry – B, Merit, Pass. Harry is going to the University of South Wales to study Football Coaching and Development.
● Milinda – A, C, C. Milinda is going to UWE to study Psychology.
● Eda – B, B, C. Eda is going to UWE to study Accounting and Finance
● Erda – B, B, C. Erda is going to UWE to study Accounting and Finance.
● Sabrina - B, B, C. Sabrina is going to UWE to study Optometry.
● Patrick - A*, C, D. Patrick is going to Bournemouth Arts University to study Modelmaking.
● Joe - BTEC D*, D, D. Joe is doing an American Soccer Scholarship a University in Minnesota
● Kobi and Leo are staying on with the Bristol Robins Foundation to do their HE Degree Programme
